Handmade wooden drum shaped lampshade made from your choice of quality, solid wood and FSC certified plywood. The images show a 20cm shade made with walnut slats. The wood gives the light a very warm and cosy feel and creates a beautiful pattern as it filters through, the slats are arranged in a herringbone pattern so the light exits at interesting angles. This shade looks just as beautiful when the light is off and the slats can be made in walnut (as shown in the images), mahogany or spruce.
The wooden slats are laser cut from your choice of solid, un-joined wood adding a beautiful dark edge that creates a lovely contrast. The framework and top and bottom rings of the shade are made from FSC certified plywood. The shade is assembled by hand, your shade may smell of burnt wood as the laser uses a hot beam to cut out the pieces but this will fade within a week or two.
Your shade will arrive fully assembled and ready to install in your chosen place, it requires an LED or filament bulb that is rated less than 40W which is not included. Photos are taken with a 5W warm white bulb.

Diameter is measured at the widest point of the shade, in this case the top and bottom rings. I can make custom sizes please get in touch if you require this.
These shades can be used on lamps and on pendant lights, please select the inner ring dimension you require for your fixture. Your lamp will either require an E27 European fitting (40mm) or a B22 British fitting (28mm). If in doubt, reducers are available in many stores to quickly and easily convert a European fitting into a British one. As with all lampshades, the shade should always be at least 3cm from the outside of the bulb. Please do not hesitate to message if you have any questions about this or anything else.
